NOWNESS Phoenix: Lisztomania Rising
Phoenix: Lisztomania Rising
The Lovers of Math, Metaphor and Mozart On Writing Their Infectious Pop Hit
Phoenix: Lisztomania Rising on Nowness.com.
I love this song and this band! I can not say that I am super "into" men's fashion, but the effortless Parisian style of the members of Phoenix is undeniable! I was introduced to Phoenix because due to the infectious nature of this song, and I stayed a huge fan because of their incredible library of work. (CHECK OUT It's Never Been Like that, United, and Alphabetical) This behind the scenes music video is so well done, I hope you find a few minuets to watch!!

Weekend Update
This weekend was a blast! With the boyfriend heading out of town with his buddies, I decided to drop in with the family back home. I'm from Connecticut and the train ride up there is only about two hours. A little shopping, a lot of family time, and my little princess Gidget. Here are some iPhone pictures from the day!
I also had a follow up appointment yesterday and I can walk without crutches now! I still can't believe that I broke my leg two months ago. I am also amazed at how quickly it has healed. I can't wait to start posting daily outfits now that I can stand on my own!! I know that taking risks in fashion is huge but I could never figure out a way to make a crutch look good.

Stay Toasty
Even though we have been in the midst of an incredible Native American Summer up here in the northeast, there is a chill in the air today and you can sense that winter is about to come roaring in. The unseasonably warm weather has been delaying the sweater weather momentarily, but I am absolutely ready to get cozy. I love to wear lots of light layers as much as the next girl, but what I really love is a super thick sweater that has some weight to it. These are from the Stay Toasty lookbook by Need Supply Co. with just the kind of cold weather vibe that I love. They certainly prove that you can definitely look super chic while bundled up!
Hope you're having a great weekend!

Leather & Lace
I checked my email this (Thursday) morning (well really afternoon since we got up around 4) and I got one from Free People about six new hand crafted party dresses that have been specially designed by six senior designers. You can check out the blog post about them here, here, and here. I love all of the dresses but instead of making this post picture heavy I decided to show the details of my favorite one.
The blurb on the dress page:
Our limited edition dresses are designed exclusively by our senior
designers and are only being made in limited quantities. These dresses
are special because of the personal inspirations and unique stories
behind each and every one. This dress was inspired by the designer's
love for ball gowns. Her creation reflects her own interpretation of the
classic ball gown, and mixes hard and soft elements together. The
result is breathtaking.
I love the lace detailing and the tulle are so delicate! The leather straps have got to be my favorite though, I love how tough it makes the dress. Can we also talk about the mustard color!? Its got to be the number one color this fall hands down, and I'm not complaining!
A special hello to all new followers, thank you all so much it means the world to me!
Happy Friday!!

Donora "I Think I Like You" Sunday Inspiration
Donora "I Think I Like You"
The playful vibe of this song and the simple yet intriguing music video are inspiring me early on this Sunday morning. I also love this MV because of this girl's hula-hoop skills, I can barely keep one of those things up around my waist never mind jumping in and out of one to a beat. I was introduced to this song though Pandora, which I'm obsessed with btw, if you've never tried it I seriously advise you to find some free time to just discover new music. I've found countless new favorites through the site and I'm discovering more with every song that I listen to!!
Hope something really inspires you today!

SOLE STRUCK WISHLIST
(Even though I'm not a size 6)
Jeffrey Campbell ZANDY NS
Jeffrey Campbell OUTLAW
Jeffrey Campbell ELEGANT STUD
I don't know about you, but the second that November 1st rolls around I start making my birthday/holiday wishlists. Of course the first place I think of, when I think of things that I don't own but I desperately want to, is Sole Struck. My online love affair with this particular retailer has been going on for years and its not stopping any time soon. I am always amazed by the selection of unique works of art aka shoes.
