Pumpkin

Sitting inside the house all the time has caused the cabin fever to finally set in. Its been over a month since my accident and while I've been outside a few times every week to go to the hospital for my physical therapy the lifestyle change that I've experienced is really starting to get to me this week. I went from being constantly on the move, working full time, to being an immobile cyborg couch potato.

Missing out on being outside during this time of year is really breaking my heart because there is nothing I enjoy more than taking long walks through the park to see the leaves changing while sipping on a hot drink and holding the hand of my tall, dark and handsome man. Being from New England, I've grown up with a lot of fall traditions such as hay rides through corn fields, apple picking, haunted houses,  pumpkin carving, corn mazes, baked pumpkin seeds, apple crisp, and getting ready for the holiday season by decorating the house with my family for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

Unfortunately this year I am probably going to be doing things a little bit differently due to my current situation. I am left longing for what I know cannot happen, yet I needed some bit of change during this season so I turned to a familiar outlet, my hair. Last week, inspired by my boyfriend's daring suggestion, I began the process of going from a brunette to a blond. Let me tell you that I have hit a few bumps along this hair transformation road. Evidently, I naturally have quite a burgundy tint to my brown locks, which has decided to appear as various shades of red as I've been trying to go lighter and lighter. Why would a person not just go to a salon and have a professional not ruin their hair? I'll tell you - if that person cannot walk nor go outside easily. SO I am left professional help-less and must rely on my own silly handiwork.
(at least I can't blame anyone else for making me look like a lion)

My story has hopefully illuminated the meaning of the title of this post -
While I can't go out and pick a pumpkin like I used to during the fall, I at least look like one now.

Sweater - Forever 21

ALMAY Pure Blends Mineral Makeup, Maybelline New York EYESTUDIO - Give Me Gold, Sephora sample mascara,  A nameless bubblegum pink lip gloss

For the first time in what seems like forever I decided to play around with some makeup, but since I lothe having pounds of gunk on my face I kept it super simple.

Go outside and enjoy the world for me this weekend!
